Essay Contest for High School Students
The Council for Wisconsin Writers is holding a non-fiction essay contest for Wisconsin high school students. The CWW Essay Award for Young Writers will recognize students who excel in writing non-fiction literature. The CWW Board of Directors will judge the contest and select one winner and one honorable mention. The winner will receive a $150 prize. The CWW is a non-profit organization founded in 1964 to support Wisconsin writing through awards, education, and recognition. Read more for contest guidelines.

Top Gifted Distance Learning Program
The most recent issue of Gifted Child Today, one of the top publications for teachers and parents of gifted and talented students, was dedicated to Issues in Online Education. Two out of five feature articles by researchers from Northwestern University describe the practices of the WCATY Online Academy as one of the top gifted distance learning programs in the nation. Way to go WCATY!
